The Xpress Half Marathon
Mostly flat and paved. Becomes packed gravel at turnoff just after mile 9 until beginning to retrace route just before mile 11. Single moderate grade hill on zig zag path just before mile 5 and return on mile 8.
10.15 Mile Loop
Lights and sidewalk on Norris, 21st and Llano up to just past MLK. Country roads have no lighting. 21st St high traffic area. Into residential area with narrow sidewalks and sporadic lighting on Wallace, Manana and Arcienega. Busy crossing at stoplights on Prince.
Half Marathon + (13.5 Miles)
Sidewalks and streetlights on lower Norris to Llano and along Llano until just past MLK. Country road elsewhere. Northern end of Norris 2 lane road, safest to run on gravel/dirt alleyway. Little to no lighting on country roads and north end of Norris.
Pecos Valley Stampede Route
Well kept bike route at start, some tree roots popping up the asphalt just before/after Sycamore crossing. Water stations at the turn onto 4th Street after crossing Sycamore, at 10K turnaround and at HM turnaround.
2+M Taper Run #3
Sidewalk/lighting on Norris and new subdivision. Very little in Jonquil Park.
2M Taper Run #2
No street lighting or sidewalks except on parts of Johnquil Park and Norris.
2M Taper Run #1
No sidewalks or streetlights except in area of Arbor and on Norris.
