Editor’s Conclusion
I love a shoe that is versatile, that offers both style and performance in the same breath. The Brooks Addiction Walker 2 embodies a 90's style, bold and bulky with all the performance technologies you want from a walking shoe.

Founded over a hundred years ago, Brooks is a company renowned for its expertise in the sporting industry. They concentrate on performance technology and offering their customers the best experience possible on running/walking paths.

The Brooks Addiction Walker 2 is both fashionable enough to wear with a pair of jeans or with a pair of walking pants for a day out on the trail. It can even be used as a running shoe, but I wouldn't suggest a white running shoe, if you're anything like me, your shoes will end up filthy after a good run.

Key Features

Design

The Brooks Addiction Walker 2 is a shoe worth showing off. The full-grain leather uppers are both stylish and comfortable and provide a durable construction to the shoe; this will wear well over time.

They are supportive and embrace the foot in its natural position giving you the ideal amount of support and stability to increase your performance.

The Addiction Walker 2 is available in 2 colors, both will wear well with multiple outfits.

Technologies

BioMoGo DNA Cushioning

Brooks is known for boasting comfort in their footwear and the Addiction Walker 2 is no different. The cushioning in the Addiction Walkers is both responsive to your stride and will help reduce the impact on your joints, this is a mega bonus, right?

This cushioning will provide comfort in every stride and cushioning that will allow your feet the ability to carry on all day.

Progressive Diagonal Rollbar

This nifty bit of technology will help your foot with stability when embarking on adventures on the road. It will also help you stay in your natural stride.

Slip Resistant

This brilliant addition to the Brooks shoe is beneficial to any walker/runner who may venture out in weather that is less forgiving. The Addiction Walkers have a slip-resistant sole that has been certified for slip resistance.

Cushion and Comfort

The Brooks Addiction Walker 2 offers a generous amount of cushioning. There is a removable insole that adds that further padding and, with the benefit of being removable, means you can add further padding or take it away.

The deep horizontal grooves in the outsole accommodate for a natural foot transition and a moveable outsole with every stride.

Price

The price is high, I can't butter it up, but they are worth it. They are made with technologies that are key to providing exceptional performance levels.

I've already mentioned that they are versatile so I would dare to say that this would also endorse the price they carry.

Comparison to Similar Walking Shoes

New Balance 990v5 – Stylish, comfortable, classic, and versatile, they offer all the attractive technologies you would want from a trainer shoe that you can use for both walking and running. A word of warning though, they carry a high price tag.

Spira CloudWalker – Yet another excellent example of a trainer that can be used for both light walking and running, the CloudWalker is attractive and fresh. This shoe offers you comfort and cushioning, along with a breathable and flexible material. It is a great lightweight option if you're planning to be on your feet all day.

Verdict

The Brooks Addiction Walker 2 is an ideal shoe for light walking and running. It offers comfort, cushioning, performance, a supportive build, and an improved design from its predecessor; however, some people do not like the stiffness of the new and improved design.

Be careful with sizing as this style of shoe can often be slightly narrow and can pinch. Personally, I wouldn't use these shoes for walking long distances but more of a day-to-day shoe, paired with casual outfits.
