To help with overpronation, the shoe features a molded rubber sole. Additional crash pads positioned in the shoe heel also provide a comfortable and cushiony base. 

The forefoot section of this shoe is nice and stretchy giving extra room for toes to spread out without compromising support needed to prevent blisters if too wide. These shoes are also lightweight without compromising the shock wave properties. 

Versatility

Whether it's walking in the countryside, along the road or on a treadmill, these shoes are a very versatile pair. However, if worn when running, you may find that you cannot run in them properly and they’re not very comfortable. 

Durability

The shoe outsole is made from a premium carbon rubber which not only makes these walking shoes extremely durable but also gives them great traction, providing plenty of grip for off-road routes and hill hiking. The choice of rubber also gives these shoes a lightweight feel and provides extra cushioning. 

Breathability

Even though the leather upper is flexible and soft, this leather material isn’t very breathable. We’d, therefore, suggest avoiding wearing these shoes in hot weather, particularly in the summer months.

Like the other shoes in our collection, these have been created with a mesh upper that provides a cool, breathable fit. Made from a knit fabric this material also provides plenty of flexibility, particularly at the forefront.

You’ll notice straight away that the shoe's platform is completely flat. This is because it's been designed to provide stability, making it a perfect pair of shoes for flat-footed walkers. The midsole also provides lots of support, particularly when transitioning from heel to toe. Its made from a firm foam providing long-lasting cushioning. 

Interestingly, the shoe has a low heel lift but a very high forefoot height. A thicker midsole may not be comfortable for some walkers, who aren’t used to it.

Overall, it’s important to point out that this walking shoe is much higher and heavier than a lot of the other shoes we’ve reviewed however it does offer fantastic cushioning which some of our shoes lack slightly.

The Hoka One One Arahi 3, offers great traction. Featuring rubber on the outsole, these shoes have been designed with a raised area that provides the shoe with grip, ideal when walking on gravel, road, or pavement. However, these may not be the best shoe to wear if walking on wet grass or along other wet surfaces because it could result in some minor slippages. 

Breathability

These walking shoes are extremely breathable. Different from some of the other shoes for flat feet we’ve reviewed, these walking shoes offer a larger surface area of mesh in the upper, enhancing the shows overall breathability. You can expect a cool walk with these shoes. 

Value

This is a pricier walking show within our collection. Coming in at the higher end, you’ll require a larger budget for these shoes.

Different to a lot of the other walking shoes for flat feet we have reviewed, this shoe is being sold within the mid-high price range. For those of you with a larger budget, this would make a great walking shoe.

One of the things this shoe does very well is it provides lots of cushioning, so you’ll have a super-soft fit with these walking shoes for flat feet. The midsole has been created using a blend of rubber, foam, and air. For additional cushioning, the shoe features a sock liner that provides extra softness. The shoes also have a crash pad positioned along the heel and midsole, creating a lovely soft feel. Different to some of our other walking shoes, these have a bootie-like interior that creates a cozy feel around the foot. 

This option is one of our bulkier women’s options so this may not be suitable for walkers and runners who prefer a lighter more flexible option.
