H Band App

You can download a free app on your phone via the app store that is able to synchronize with your watch and store the data that your watch collects. With this app, you have full access to your sleep data, heart rate data, blood pressure data, exercising data, and more.

You can download H Band via the QR code provided or simply search for the app in the app store. Register for an account and you’re ready to go. When it comes time to connect your watch to your app, you’ll need to first fully charge the watch and then turn it on by holding the “touch” area for three seconds.

Ensure that the Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone and open your H Band app. The app will prompt you to connect a device. When you see your device, click on it. When your app is ready to go, you’ll be able to view all of your data.

In order to view your data efficiently and conveniently, there are separate tabs for each measurement. You can view your period tracker, sports, heart rate, blood pressure, sleep, etc all in their own sections.

One of the cool features of the app can be found in running mode. You can record the track you take during your activities by pressing the start button when you’ve got the map up. If you’re starting your run from your watch, press the “touch” button for three seconds in order to pull up running mode.

When you’re on the running data display on your watch, you can use the “touch” button to switch between “Pause”, “Running Data”, and “Exit”. When you have the “Running Data” screen displayed, you will be able to view your running time, running distance, heart rate, calories burned, and the number of steps taken (in real-time).

When you are on the screens for “Pause” and “Exit”, you will need to hold down the “touch” button for three seconds to communicate to your watch that you really do want to pause or exit. If you want to look into other linked app options, try this smartwatch.

Screen

The screen on this smartwatch is larger than traditional fitness tracking watches, making it more viewable. It is an inch and a half in diameter. The screen is made with tempered glass and integrated with IPS technology. IPS stands for in-plan-switching. If you are looking for a smaller screen, check here. (apple watch series 4)

IPS is the best performing panel technology on the market and is used to help amp up the quality of LCD displays. IPS screens take out image distortion issues and shifting of colors so that you can experience a more lifelike color experience, no matter the angle of the screen.

The colors that you are able to see in the world around you are the colors that you’ll be able to view on this display. IPS panels are capable of achieving crisper whites, deeper blacks, and clearer, brighter colors than regular LCD panels.

IPS screens are touch-friendly because they do not lighten in color or show trailing when you touch them. When you use an IPS display, you can have a more lifelike color experience from any angle without worrying about color shifts or screen distortion.

Blood Pressure Monitor

Your blood pressure is a measurement of how much pressure is behind your blood flow in your circulatory system. The data recorded is commonly used for diagnostics tests because it infers information on the heart rate, how hard the heart is beating, and the arteries’ diameter and elasticity.

In a blood pressure reading, the higher scale number is described as the systolic pressure. This is the highest pressure your blood is being pumped at. The lower scale is called the diastolic pressure. It is the lowest level of pressure your blood is being pumped at.

If your reading is 90/60 or lower, it is considered “low”. If it is between 90/60 and 120/80, it is considered “ideal”. If it is between 120/80 and 140/90 it is considered “normal”. If it is above 140/90 it is considered “high” and classified as “hypertension”. Consult your doctor.

Monitoring your blood pressure with the Gokoo Smart Watch can help you lower your risk of developing heart conditions that could lead to clogged arteries (blood clots), heart attacks, strokes, dementia, and kidney disease.

Heart Rate Monitor

Heart rate monitors that you encounter in your life are typically not very comfortable, attractive, or sleek. Gym class heart rate monitors are often a chest strap paired with a bulky watch. The monitors given by doctors typically have the sticky sensors you have to wear all over your torso for days or weeks at a time that leaves sticky residue circles behind.

Keeping an eye on your heart rate, both at rest and during activities, is important because it’s not just the speed of your heart beating that you’re evaluating. You can also detect abnormal rhythms, determine how well your circulatory system is working, and infer the functionality of your pulmonary system.

This smartwatch is more comfortable, more sleek, and more attractive than traditional heart rate monitors. It is also way more convenient and informative. You don’t have to wear anything except the lightweight watch on your wrist.

It will read your heart rate 24/7 and the data can be seen in real-time on the watch face, or you can view a data chart on the app that the information is automatically sent to. You can find more heart rate monitor options here.

Sleep Monitor

Another ability this smartwatch has is monitoring your sleep cycles. It is able to detect when you fall asleep, wake up, turn over, and sleep deeply or shallow. Some people find it as easy as breathing to fall asleep and stay asleep. However, for many, it doesn’t come easily at all.

In fact, many people are left feeling exhausted every morning and throughout every day because they struggle with being able to fall asleep, stay asleep, sleep deeply, and get an adequate amount of sleep. These people understandably become frustrated, which makes sleep even more difficult to achieve.

That’s why the Gokoo Smart Watch was designed to track your sleep habits. It can help you to discern how much time you spend awake, asleep, tossing and turning, sleeping deeply, and how much time you’re in a shallow sleep. This information can help you pinpoint your problem areas so that you can work on finding a solution.

Period Tracker

Our parents kept track of their periods by marking a red dot on the calendar the day their period started and then hoping that the next period came around the same time next month. However, modern technology has revolutionized the way that we monitor our cycles.

It’s more than worth it to take the time to track your period. It can benefit you in many areas of your life. It can give you better sex life, help to optimize your workouts, and plan your life around your cycle. A typical menstrual cycle lasts twenty-eight days.

In the second week of your cycle, right after your period ends, the amount of estrogen in your body increases, giving you boosted energy levels and more of a tolerance for exercise. In week three, your body becomes more efficient at using your fat to fuel your body. It is more efficient to work out during these two weeks than during the final week in your cycle.

You can schedule reminders in the app that will alert you when your period should be expected. Not only will tracking your cycle make it easier to know when to step back from the social world, but it can even help you get better sleep at night.

How on earth can it help you sleep better? Just before, during, and after your period, your body experiences a rise in temperature. You also experience less REM sleep, making you feel like you’re not getting enough rest.

Restless sleep isn’t uncommon for women during this portion of their cycle. It doesn't help that you’re most likely feeling icky and bloated, too. Knowing what your body needs during these times will help regular your circadian rhythm. You can limit your caffeine intake, exercise earlier in the day, and keep a strict bedtime to help.

This smartwatch gives you the extremely convenient benefit of being able to track your menstrual cycles. Here you can find another smartwatch that can track your periods.

Water Protection

This smartwatch is water-resistant with an IP rating of 67. This means that your watch will be protected from dust and dirt as well as immersion in water. It can only be immersed up to 3.3 feet deep and for no longer than thirty minutes.

You can wash your hands and walk in light rain without worrying about your watch being ruined. Keep in mind that, when rated by the International Electrotechnical Commission, products are only rated for freshwater. The rating does not guarantee protection from other liquids like coffee, beer, soda, and saltwater. You can find another water-resistant smartwatch here.

Pedometer

The Gokoo Smart Watch has a pedometer to track your steps, distance traveled, pace, the time elapsed, calories burned, and heart rate. You can set the app to record certain sports and activities so that you can view data for each exercise individually.

Counting steps can be an effective tool to keep you motivated. When you have a number in front of you that you can look at all day long, it can serve as a cheerleader to get you moving more and more. Beating your own “score” is one of the best motivators there is.

It makes sense that your fitness goals aren’t as hard to reach when you’re focused on being in the moment. So while it is helpful to watch your steps counter, it is most helpful to focus on your form and intensity of your workout. Then, when you’re done, you can check your step counter against yesterday’s count and move more if you need to.

Notifications

When you synchronize your Gokoo Smart Watch with your smartphone, you enable notifications to be sent right to your wrist. You can receive notifications for text messages, phone calls, and social media networking platforms like WhatsApp, Skype, Twitter, and Facebook.

You can also set your watch to have alarms to alert you when you’re being too sedentary, when you need to rest, when you need to wake up, or when you’re due at your kids’ baseball game.

Compatibility

This smartwatch is compatible with smartphones only; no personal computers, iPads, or tablets. The smartphone must be Apple or Android and run on iOS 8.0 or newer and Android 4.0 or newer. The Bluetooth software must be 4.0 or newer.

Bottom Line

This smartwatch can help you keep your entire life on track, right from your wrist. Track your health status, including your blood pressure and heart rate. Track your sleep patterns to help figure out how to get better sleep. Track your period so that you can feel your best through each week and know how to plan your life around it.

This smartwatch also features a pedometer so that you can track your activities, calories burned, distance traveled, pace, and time elapsed. You can compare past exercises with present ones to see if you’re improving or need to take it to the next level.

The Gokoo Smart Watch is geared toward women, comes at a competitive price, and is equipped with a twelve-month warranty. The customer service team is dedicated to your satisfaction and will respond to all correspondence within twenty-four hours.
