We selected rain jackets that were available in a variety of sizes and were suitable for a range of body types. We also chose jackets that had a cord hem at the bottom of the coat, allowing the bottom of the jacket to be pulled in or loosened if necessary. We picked jackets that featured adjustable cuffs as well as adjustable or removal hoods.

What we did notice was that the jackets which were least breathable tended to be more waterproof.

Deciding how much you are willing to spend on your raincoat before you start looking is essential.
