UGG Tipton Metallic Flat Review
According to Wikipedia’s source, Ugg boots are a unisex style of sheepskin boot originating in Australia and New Zealand, and they predate the modern UGG version that’s been dominating the modern culture in the past few decades.
Before they became a celebrity must-have shoe and every girl’s staple item the early 2000’s they were known as Artisanal sheepskin boots in rural Australia. They were reportedly worn by sheep shearers as they found them resistant to the wool yolk. The wool yolk would rot their ordinary boots, so they found that the sheep’s skin made them more durable.
Frank Mortel claims that it was actually his wife that gave the name Ugg since she thought that the shoes were very ugly to actually be worn. Hence the name. Ugg apparently stands for Ugly, although some reports have suggested that the term came from “fug boots”. A military type shoes worn by United Kingdom Royal Air Force pilots in WW1.
The exact origin of the word is not known, but after their humble origin, the Ugg boots have become a noticeable fashion brand. So, one item from that brand is UGG Tipton Metallic Flat sandal, and the review for that shoe can be found below.
Imprint by UGG insole
Treadlite by UGG outsole
Metallic leather upper
No lower heel option
The heel of the outsole measures 2 inches, while the platform has a height of one and a half inches. The majority of the outsole is with a distinctive white rubber, while just a fraction of the outsole is made with the brown colored rubber. The two-tone outsole is matched with the two-tone upper, and just like in the other half of the shoe, different colors are put in different areas of the sandal. The brown rubber can be found in the toe and heel area of the shoes, while the metallic straps are on the front toe area of the foot, as opposed to the darker leather straps that are wrapped around the ankle.
Look at it this way. When you have an overly complicated shoe, it automatically becomes unpleasant to wear, and that could lead to much-diminished durability in the shoes. If you have a shoe that you can barely walk in, or a shoe that causes you pain and blistering, there’s a better chance that shoe to be damaged from all the remedies and tactics to make the swelling go down or to loosen the leather so it can become bearable to be worn. But all of that can really damage the materials and the overall quality of the shoe, and you don’t really want that. The durability is greater in these sandals, because of the very simplistic way in which these shoes were made. There are no unnecessary straps, painful zippers or very uncomfortable zippers.
They’ll make you feel playful vibrant and stylish without putting on too much effort. They’ll make the effort for you, and all you have to is put them on. The Treadlite outsole along with the contoured Imprint® footbed will keep you comfortable and supported in so many ways, and you just can’t forget about that brilliant use of the metallic color in the upper. The metallic used in the strap is subtle and if you take a good look at them, only the toe straps are painted with the color. The ankle straps are left with the nude color, that can be easily found in the footbed, and the two different tones of color don’t class tremendously. This is a great summer sandal that just happens to be highly durable, versatile and flexible. Don’t let the thick outsole intimidate you, because walking in these sandals have never been more comfortable.
