Dockers Cushion Comfort crew socks are perfect whether you’re working in the office or going out with friends. They are thick enough for comfort and support, but thin enough for breathability and flexibility. The portion that is cotton blend makes the Cushion Comfort breathable and soft.

The length is “crew”, meaning that they end right around the middle of your calf. They will fit feet that are shoe sizes six through twelve and sock sizes that are ten through thirteen.

The sole is designed with cushioning that will help to absorb shock as you walk, provide comfort, and increase the durability of your Dockers. Flexibility and comfort are provided by the all-around stretchy fabric. A blend of cotton, nylon, polyester, and spandex is used in the construction of the Dockers Cushion Comfort. They can be machine washed.

Also featured are great arch support and a toe seam geared towards comfort to reduce skin irritation. The ribbing on the leg of the sock keeps it from sliding down or bunching up while still providing plenty of flexibility.

They come at a shockingly great price and with a return policy and limited warranty.

Brand

Dockers is a brand that was introduced by Levi Strauss in 1986. A company that originally specialized in denim broadened its horizons to provide products to a wider demographic. The Dockers brand was created to serve the business casual world. It was also a leading manufacturer for boat shoes that were purposed for wear on docks. The brand ventured overseas to Europe in 1993.

Levi Strauss came to San Francisco from Bavaria in 1853. He settled in, opened up his business, and went back to selling the clothes and footwear he was selling back home. Through the years the company grew and shifted focus many times. In the early 1900s, the focus was on bringing khakis outside of the workplace for “classier” events.

In 1916 the Levi Strauss Make label was created, which is the label the khakis were included in. Women’s khakis came to the table in the 1920s. These khakis were made for women who spent time outdoors, and they were made to be more comfortable.

The late 1900s were very fortunate times for Levi Strauss and Co. They ended up going global and becoming extremely successful. Dockers even made an appearance on the Seinfeld show in 1992. By the 2000s, Levi Strauss began making denim clothing, and khakis were loved by both men and women of all ages.

Materials

The materials used in the construction of the Dockers Cushion Comfort crew socks were carefully chosen to give you the best blend for the most flexibility, support, and comfort. They contain a blend of cotton, spandex, polyester, and nylon.

The cotton will give you breathability - a lot more than polyester socks would. Breathability is key in socks because it helps your feet stay cool and dry. Not only will your feet be able to breathe, but if/when they do sweat, the cotton has the ability to wick the excess moisture away. This will protect your feet from odor-causing bacteria that could lead to other foot issues you don’t want. Cotton is also great for people with sensitive skin or those who experience allergies due to certain fabrics.

The nylon material integrated into the Cushion Comfort’s will work to give them extra strength to protect you from bursts and tears, resist chemicals, provide air permeability, among other benefits. Nylon isn’t as breathable as cotton, but that’s why cotton is the main material. Even though nylon can’t breathe very well, or wick away moisture, it does dry rather quickly compared to other materials. If you like nylon socks, you can check these out.

Although the percentage of spandex in Dockers Cushion Comfort is small, it serves a purpose as well. Spandex is known more commonly worldwide as elastane. This material is handy in making sure you have a proper fit. Spandex allows your sock to have more give to it while still retaining its original shape. It will help with flexibility and comfort. Spandex will contribute to a longer lifespan because of these properties.

Lastly, a very small percentage of polyester is used in the composition of the Dockers Cushion Comfort. Polyester is man-made and is petroleum-based. Under a microscope, you can see the finely woven fibers. Polyester is durable, lasting much longer than cotton does, so long as it is cared for properly. It is quick to dry even though it isn’t absorbent. Polyester is, however, not eco-friendly because it doesn’t break down when it’s been thrown away. It also isn’t breathable, but that’s why it only makes up a very small portion of this sock.

Consumers are reporting that the composition of the Cushion Comfort’s they receive in the mail vary from the composition advertised. This is a problem for people who are sensitive to any of the materials used. If this happens to you, simply contact customer service and request a refund or exchange. Fit

Cushion Comfort’s are crew length, which will reach to your mid-calf. They will be a perfect fit for hiking boots if that’s what you’re looking for. You can find other crew cut socks here. The Dockers Cushion Comfort is made to fit you like a perfectly sized glove. There are other options for crew cut socks.

The Smart 360 Flex stretch that is offered by the blend of fabrics will give you superior flexibility, support, fit, and comfort. It will conform to the shape of your foot but still be able to move with the natural curves of your foot with every stride you take.

The Cushion Comfort is made to fit shoe sizes six through twelve and sock sizes ten through thirteen. It is ribbed on the leg in order to prevent sliding and bunching that will irritate the skin and make for an uncomfortable fit. There are some people who are claiming that the sock is too tight at the top and makes their legs feel like they’re suffocating. It all depends on how your body is shaped. If they don’t fit you right, simply return them. If you need socks that are cut lower, check here.

Comfort

When designing the Dockers Cushion Comfort, the team focused a lot of attention on comfort. After all, there isn’t much more important than that, right? The Smart 360 Flex stretch offers comfort through flexibility and support. The footbed that is entirely cushioned will offer exceptional durability as well as comfort with every step you take.

The toe seam was even designed with you in mind. There’s nothing more annoying than walking all day with a toe seam that drives you crazy. No one wants to have to take off their shoes twenty times a day just to adjust their socks. This measure also helps to prevent irritation or abrasions from the seam. If you do experience foot discomfort, try these.

The fact that there are measures in place to keep your Cushion Comfort where it’s supposed to be, provide plenty of breathability via cotton, wick away moisture, and move with you, will make your experience a pleasant one. For ultimate breathability and happy feet, pair your socks with shoes that will also work to keep your feet dry and cool.

Flexibility

Flexibility in anything you’re wearing is important. The human body has many moving parts, many joints, and many sensitive areas. What you wear should be able to move effortlessly with the natural bends and curves of your body, from your t-shirt clear down to your socks.

The ribbed details on the leg will not only keep your sock where it’s supposed to be but will also provide flexibility. Yet again, the Smart 360 Flex stretch provided by all of the materials used will give you optimal flexibility.

If you’re wearing socks that don’t provide much in the way of flexibility, you’re robbing yourself of key benefits. What you get out of the Dockers Cushion Comfort being so flexible is an increased range of motion that will help to prevent pain, discomfort, injury, and/or less effective performance in your activities. If you struggle with conditions like arthritis, flexible socks could do you a world of good, so long as they’re also supportive. Compliment flexible socks with flexible shoes.

Support

Something that’s really important to many, many people when it comes to the clothing of any kind is how much support it provides. There are a large number of people who struggle with conditions that cause them pain and discomfort. A little bit of support can go a long way.

When it comes to people with plantar fasciitis, arthritis, diabetes, and other conditions, support is extremely high on their priority list. Sometimes additional pain is caused by having a bad foundation, meaning that their shoes don’t offer enough support. This is one situation where socks with arch support can come to the rescue to lessen pain and discomfort.

Dockers Cushion Comfort also provide balance through arch support. The added balance and support can help improve posture which can, in turn, improve foot pain and discomfort that are related to having insufficient support and balance. If you’re looking for shoes that will complement the support you get from the Cushion Comfort, check these out.

Durability

All of the details of Dockers Cushion Comfort work to provide long lifespan so that your socks can keep moving with you. From the materials used to the design of the sock itself, they are built to last. Spandex will stretch to move with you, but it will also provide extra durability because it has the ability to retain its shape, thus keeping the sock in its best condition.

Because of the nylon, you will have extra strength and protection from tears, bursts, and chemicals. It may not be as breathable as cotton or wick away moisture, but nylon will dry quickly, which will help to preserve the condition.

The ribbed detail in the leg will keep it from bunching up or sliding down, as well as providing a bit of bulk to elongate lifespan. Because the footbed is lined with cushioning, the bottom of the sock won’t wear out as quickly.

There have been some consumers that have reported issues with the seams unraveling or holes wearing into them rapidly. People who have been loyal to Dockers for years are claiming that the quality isn’t as great as it used to be, therefore they are less durable than they used to be. If you need more heavy-duty socks, try these.

Care

Dockers Cushion Comfort is machine washable, and you will want to wash them once, maybe even twice before you wear them for the first time. They are very fuzzy and will leave behind fuzz balls on your feet.

Many customers have reported that even after they have washed their socks multiple times, they still struggle with fuzz balls ending up everywhere. If you’re dissatisfied with the fact that they leave behind fuzz, you may contact customer service and request a refund or exchange.

Style

Dockers Cushion Comfort are part of a label that specializes in business casual and “classy” style. These socks are versatile and can be worn for literally whatever you want even though they are geared towards being slightly more formal. Dockers obviously hope that each customer will be completely satisfied with their products, however, in the event that you are not, you have sixty days from the date of purchase to return your item. If you purchase your Dockers Cushion Comfort straight from the Dockers website, you can return them by mail or to an outlet store; they can not be returned at department stores.

If you purchased your product from an outlet store, however, you can only return it to an outlet store, and not by mail to Dockers.com. If you purchase your product at a department store, you can only return it at the department store. Any costs incurred from shipping, handling, and/or gift wrapping services can not be refunded.

Warranty

An important thing to look for when you’re shopping is whether or not a product has a warranty. All of Dockers’ products do come with a two-year warranty that covers material and manufacturing defects (not normal wear and tear). This includes the Cushion Comfort crew socks.

If you need to file a claim during your warranty period, you will need to go to Dockers’ website and fill out the Warranty Return Form. Once you open up a claim, you will send your product to the company for inspection. If the inspection results show that the item is, in fact, defective, the same, or similar product will replace it. If the inspection determines that the product is not defective, it, along with a letter will be returned to you. The letter will explain why your claim has been denied.

Bottom Line

Although there are some consumers that are unimpressed by the quality of the Dockers Cushion Comfort compared to older styles of Dockers, they are still a quality sock and worth trying. With a sixty-day return policy and a two-year warranty, what do you have to lose?

You can enjoy many benefits from the Cushion Comfort such as flexibility, breathability, support, a secure fit, comfort, arch support, a cushioned footbed, and a comfort seam at the toe. They could help relieve pain and discomfort related to plantar fasciitis and other foot issues, as well as improving posture. Being at such a great price, they’re absolutely worth trying. And, although there have been some unhappy customers, the majority are extremely satisfied.
