Just like the 4 and 5 mile groups the 3 milers will also be hitting the hills today, heading to Coit tower and back. Meet at Mission St entrance to Yerba Buena. Take Mission West to 4th St. and turn right. At Market Street turn right then take a left up Kearny St. all the way up the hill to Filbert Street at the base of Coit Tower. Turn right up the path to Telegraph Hill Blvd and take the next path on the right back down Filbert St to Montgomery. Take a right at Montgomery and head downhill to Broadway and turn left. At Front St. take a right down to Market St. Turn right at Market St, left at 3rd St. and right back to Yerba Buena Gardens entrance on Mission.
Today's 5 miler is a hill workout for only brave runners. We'll head up Hyde Street over Nob Hill to a total ascent of 300 feet as we run down the famous winding street Lombard to Powell and back to the start via the Embarcadero. Meet at Mission St entrance to Yerba Buena. Take Mission West to 4th St. and turn right. At Market Street continue over to Ellis St and take a right at Hyde Street. Head up over Nob Hill to Lombard Street. Catch your breath before descending 300 feet down the winding street to Powell where you'll take a left. Turn right at Bay Street and continue to the wharf side of the Embarcadero. Follow the Embarcadero back down to Market Street. Turn right at Market St, left at 3rd St. and right back to Yerba Buena Gardens entrance on Mission.
