Winter Warrior 4.2K Road Race

The Winter Warrior 4.2K (2.5 mile) Road Race will be held simultaneously with the first run of the Winter Warrior Duathlon.

The Race

The race starts at 8:00 a.m. and finishes at the Oscar Frazier Park, Shults Road/8th Avenue, Bluffton, SC 29910. The run is the first run of the Winter Warrior Duathlon and is a 2.5 mile (4.2K) loop through Old Town Bluffton. This is a flat and very fast race!

Winter Warrior 4.2K Road Race--Fees

The race fees are: $20.00 through January 15, 2012; $25.00 Jan 16 through February 5; $30.00 February 6 through race day (including packet pick up and race day registration.)

Winter Warrior 4.2K Overall & Age Group Awards

Awards (medals) will be given to the top female and male runners, the top Masters (over 40 years old) male and female, the top Grandmasters (over 50 years old) male and female, and the top females and males in each age group. Age groups begin at 14 and under, 15-19 and are 5 year increments thereafter.

Race Shirts

Race shirts will be cotton shirts. Assume uni-sex sizing! Each person registered for the race before February 11, 2012 will receive a race shirt. We do not guarantee sizes or availability of shirts for those registering after Feb 12 so please register early!!!

Packet Pick Up & Race Day Registration

Pre-race packet pick up and late registration will be announced as soon as possible so please check in from time to time. Race day packet pick up and race day registration will be at the Oscar Frazier Park from 7:00 am until 7:30 am.

Race Proceeds

A portion of the race proceeds will go to support local charities. Thanks for your support!!

Volunteers

If you have family, friends...for that matter, people you just sorta know and sorta, maybe like...with you who would like to volunteer, please have them contact multisportfit@aol.com and we'll put them to work!

Post Race/Awards

We'll be holding a post race party with food, beverages, and more following the race. The awards ceremonies will begin as soon as practical/possible following the race.

Be sure to hang around Bluffton after the races. Visit the shops and restaurants and take in the atmosphere...You'll see why Bluffton is truly a great state of mind!
