The Excelerators Run For a Cure 5K will be on June 2nd starting at 8 a.m. bye the Love Civic Center Pavilion and Trail de Paris. All proceeds will benefit the Lamar County Relay For Life. Participants can sign up for the 5K Run or 2 Mile Walk and kids can take part in the 1 Mile Fun Run! There is a $25 registration fee for all adult runners and each paid participant will receive a T-Shirt. For more information call (903) 737-5458. REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE THE DAY OF THE RACE!!
The 5K will begin at 8 a.m. with the 2 Mile Walk beginning at 8:10 a.m. The 1 Mile Kids Fun Run will begin at 9 a.m. The 1 Mile Fun Run is free for ages 10 and under, but a parent must be present the day of the run and a registration form must be filled out. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize given in the 5K for Women and Men, in the 2 Mile Walk for the top 3 overall participants, and every child will receive an award! Snacks and bottled water will be available to all participants!
