Registration & Packet pick up
Registration is available on active.com through March 7 at midnight. Walk in registration is available at K-Man Cycle & Run in Atascadero until March 9. Packet pick up will be available at K-Man Cycle & Run in Atascadero on March 9th from 12:00-4:00 pm. Race Day registration and packet pick up starts at 6:45 am on race day, March 10, at Atascadero Lake Park. Mail in registration must be received by March 8th to guarantee your entry through this method.
Our event is a fundraiser for AHS Athletics
When Chris Shuck founded this event the original focus of it's fundraising was to help fund the all weather track at Atascadero High School (AHS). Over the years we have raised over $57,000 for the Atascadero Greyhound Athletic Foundation. This organization raises funds to support facilities and equipment for athletic activities at AHS like the all weather track, weight room and snack bar. There are many more!
More about our location and activities
The Atascadero Lake Park is located on Morro Road near Portola Road. The Zoo is on the same grounds as well. There are activities on the Lake like pedal boats and kayaks for rent. Boating is allowed on the lake but swimming is not. The childrens park is a lot of fun, and kids can also feed the ducks that live at the lake most of the year.
Our courses
The 5K course starts on the perimeter road adjacent to the Pavillion and goes counter clockwise around the lake, (right) up Portola road, (left) down Atascadero Avenue, (left) over Marchant, back to the perimeter road, clockwise around the lake and finish at the same place as the start. The 1-Mile and 1/2 Mile are out and back, starting and finishing at the same start line as the 5K and starting in the same counterclockwise direction as the 5K.
