Some people don't want us to say "Gay" in Tennessee. Whatever! We'll do it anyway! Shout it proudly on Saturday, June 23 at Shelby Bottoms Greenway during the 5th Annual Gay 5K and Kid's Fun 1 Mile. Proceeds from the event benefit OutCentral Cultural Center. Don’t want to get up early to run or walk? You can still support OutCentral (and receive a Gay 5K t-shirt) by registering for the “sleep in” category! Run. Walk. Roll. Crawl. Gay. Lesbian. Straight. Bi. Trans. Bring your best!
Schedule: 6:45 am registration opens (morning-of price is $25 cash or check for 5K, $15 for Kids' Fun 1) 7:30 am 5K 8:00 am Kids' 1 mile Followed by medals for multiple age groups based on finish times at the after-party. The race route will be a simple out and back with only two turns on the shaded Shelby Bottoms Greenway.
