Welcome to the fun filled and exciting Beach Jam Triathlon!
This is a great "practice" race for the big ones. Everyone gets a finishers medal. The race is limited to 75 participants. Wetsuits are highly recommend. We have one available for rental, email for details. This is NOT a closed course, please obey all safety and traffic laws. Swim course: The swim starts adjacent to Bay Shore and 2nd st then proceeds 500 meters to the far side of the small dock where the transition will be. **NEW --Bike course ~14 miles : http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5437922 The bike course exits the transition area on the north side then immediately goes RIGHT onto Ocean ave, then an immediate LEFT onto 54th st which turns into BayShore. After a few blocks on Bayshore, make a RIGHT onto 2nd street then a RIGHT onto Marina Drive all the way down to the River trail then make a LEFT onto the San Gabriel River trail and proceed on the trail until the turn around at WILLOW AVE Adjacent to the 605 freeway. Then the same way back but reversed. Run course ~3.1 miles/5k: The run will proceed on the beach path towards the Queen Mary, for an easy to follow out and back 5k. course map: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5346490 check in and bib pick up from 615-650am day of the race.
