The Stevens Point Area YMCA Lactic Edge Triathlon is hosting events for all age categories. Kids under age 12 race on Friday evening. On Saturday, Teens age 13-18 compete in the 2-4-2 Teen Triathlon, starting one wave ahead of adults. The course for adults is sprint distance: swim 500 y swim, 17 miles bike, 3.1 mile run. PREREGISTRATION FOR ALL EVENTS CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT, JULY 5. (On-site registration incurs additional fees.)
Award divisions include individual by age category and gender, relay team, and optional Athena/Clydesdale classes. "Athena" are females over 150 lbs and "Clydesdale" are males over 200 lbs. Bright swim caps and helmets are mandatory. Wetsuits are allowed. iPods and other personal audio devices are prohibited. Elite wave placement provided at check-in upon request. Absolutely no athletes under age 16 for the individual adult race. Those under age 18 may be contacted for interview and references. Teen race is for ages 13-15 and 16-18 or older individuals wishing to either chaperon a teen or accomplish a shorter course. As a chaperon, separate registration is required.

Check-In / Registration
You must check-in on site for the race. Bring your registration confirmation. Check in will be held on site Friday, July 13th from 4 to 6 pm and on race day from 6:30 to 8:00 am. "On-site" registration is available at these times too (additional fee applies, shirt not guaranteed due to limited quantity). We encourage early registration by mail or internet.
YMCA Fit Kids Triathlon
The YMCA Fit Kids Triathlon will be held Friday evening, July 13, at 6pm. Register online using the link on this page. Age 12 and under swim 100y/bike 3k/run 1 mi., age 9 and under: 50/2/0.5, and age 6 and under: 25y/1 k/0.25 mi. Inquire with the the Stevens Point YMCA, Brandy Proctor, 715-342-2980 ext 306. Fees / Cut-off dates
Preregistration closes July 12th for all events, onsite fees apply thereafter. Adult individuals: $45 by June 23, $55 by July 12, $70 Onsite. Adult Relay: $65 by June 23, $75 by July 12, $90 Onsite. Fit Kids Triathlon: $15 by July 12, $25 Onsite.
Family Activities
Bukolt Park has a playground and beach for the family to enjoy. Mead Park, on the west side of the river, along the run course, has a super new playground. In addition, downtown Stevens Point is a pleasant hang-out. The YMCA Fit Kids Triathlon on Friday evening is a very fun, social event and we invite adult athletes to spectate and even help out if they like.

Race Cancellation Policy
In the event that weather or other adverse conditions force cancellation of the Triathlon on race day, there will be NO REFUND of entry fees. Pre-registered participants will be offered FREE ENTRY for the next year's event.
Results
An online version of the results will be available within a few days after the race at www.spymca.org.
Swim Course
Adults start at the beach house at 8:30am. The swim is one-way, down river, to a grassy shore exit 200 meters south of the boat dock.
Adult Bike
The bike route has changed this year due to road construction. Please visit www.spymca.org to view this years bike course.
Adult Run
The run route is the same as it's been for the last 3 years. Please visit www.spymca.org to view the run course.
