The Queen City Triathlon is a sprint distance triathlon geared towards beginner triathletes looking for a low-pressure introduction to the sport. The race features a 1000 yard (20 laps) pool swim, a flat 12 mile bike course, and a 3 mile run on a packed dirt path.
The 5th annual Queen City Triathlon will once again be held in East Helena at JFK Park. The race will be run in heats of 10 in the 5 lane outdoor pool with 2 swimmers per lane and a distance of 1000 yards (20 laps). The bike course is a flat and fast 12 mile loop through the valley north of East Helena, and the 3 mile run will be held on a dirt path looping north of the park. Start times will be based on estimated swim times, with swimmers of similar times being grouped in the same heats. Heat assignments will be sent out the week before the race. USAT Sanctioned. No refunds after May 24th. Race is limited to the first 90 people to sign up.
