The out and back swim is in Lake Winneconne. The entire course is very shallow and you can almost touch bottom throughout. Average water temperature is 72 degrees. Plenty of buoys on the course are available to use as resting points. Large and colorful balloon arch at the swim finish. Wetsuits may be worn. Swim caps are MANDATORY and will be provided by Midwest Sports Events.
The bike course heads out of the park going along the lake at first. It then heads north and east on quiet country roads. There are a few hills to make it challenging but not very difficult. Every 5th mile and every turn on the bike courses are marked with large signs.
The run starts at Lake Winneconne Park and heads west out onto quiet country roads. Both courses are out and back and very flat. Plenty of water and Gatorade. Every mile and turn on the run courses will be marked with large signage. Course and elevation maps will be posted at midwestsportsevents.com.
