In this 90 minute workshop led by Karen Smyers -- who held the unofficial Half Ironman World Record for a decade -- triathletes looking to race a half distance triathlon (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run) will be guided through effective training plans ro help them excel come race day.

About Karen Smyers (the instructor)
This workshop will be led by Karen Smyers, one of the most accomplished triathletes in the history of the sport. Karen is a 7x National and 4x World Champion, including a dramatic come-from-behind victory in the 1995 Hawaii Ironman World Championships. Her victory at the short-course Triathlon World Championship just 5 weeks later earned her the distinction of being the only woman ever to win triathlon’s two most prestigious races in the same year.
