SMITHEVENTS is proud to present the 5th annual Canmore Triathlon & Duathlon. This popular event offers Sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and duathlons for individuals as well as Sprint and Olympic distance team categories.
The Canmore Triathlon & Duathlon takes place at the World Class Canmore Nordic Centre and spectacular Quarry Lake Park. These incredible venues are framed by towering peaks of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Online Registration Is Now Closed
Online registration is now closed. We will still accept registration in person at race package pickup on Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. at Rebound Cycle in Canmore or the Tri It Triathlon store in Calgary. Cash only please. Race day registration can also be accepted at athlete check in. Please arrive extra early to get this done in time for race start. Cash only please.
Triathlon Event Distances
The Olympic Distance Triathlon begins with a 1500m swim in Canmore's Quarry Lake followed a 40km cycle leg on the breathtaking Three Sisters Parkway and concludes with a paved 10km run at the Canmore Nordic Centre. The Sprint distance triathlon includes a 500m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run utilizing the same courses as the Olympic Distance event.
Duathlon Event Distances
The Full Distance Duathlon begins with a 3.5km trail run in the vicinity of Quarry Lake Park followed by a 40km cycle leg and 10km run. The Sprint Distance Duathlon includes a 3km trail run, 20km cycle and 5km run. The Duathlon cycle and run routes utilize the same courses as the Triathlon event.
