Runners of all ages and abilities are invited and encouraged to escape the ho-hum of ordinary road races. The field is limited to the first 108 runners. Registration closes June 23rd, 2012. All runners are seeded in heats by their best mile time in the last year. FANTASTIC FINISHERS AWARD: Each entrant who finishes all five events will receive a beautiful T-shirt uniquely designed for the Ultimate Runner. Results will be posted on-line. SPECIALLY DESIGNED Porcelain Mugs will be presented as follows: Males, top 15 Overall. First finisher in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and over. Females, top five Overall and first in the 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39 and 40-49 age groups. No duplicate porcelain mug awards. First male and female will receive $50 gift certificates from Omega Sports. $5 Omega Sports gift certificates to male and female winners of each event. All competitors will be scored by place finish in each event with low point total winning. No starting blocks allowed. PARTY AND AWARDS CEREMONY This is the real fun part. Plan to attend and spend the evening. Subs, Sides, beer and soft drinks at Bob's Big Gas Subs & Pub, a short walk from the park. All entrants and volunteers are invited. Guests are also welcome for a nominal $5 charge. Each finisher will be recognized individually and presented with the coveted Ultimate Runner T-shirt. As dictated by tradition, all unearned T-shirts will be burned in the parking lot following the Awards Ceremony. VERY IMPORTANT Runner Check-In: All runners must check in at the Hanes Park Track by 4:00 p.m. to receive their number. Please be prompt. First event at 4:30 p.m. sharp. Seeding information is available on-line. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Mailed entries must be received by June 23rd, no exceptions. The field is limited to 108 entrants, so register early to avoid disappointment. Entry fee is $35, $40 if you enter after June 1st. $10 discount for Twin City Track Club members.
