Every June we don wedding gowns to bring attention to domestic violence. We march for survivors, victims, those murdered far too soon. Together we give a voice a face to DOMESTIC VIOLENCE united under a common cause to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Our march is a time to bring a serious issue to the for front, after the march we have a "wedding reception" to laugh, smile, remember lives, second chances a time to make new friends. So please join us for a cause and stay for the celebration!

Liz's Daughter and the Brides March story: The concept of a Brides March originated in New York City in 2001 to commemorate the life of Gladys Ricart, a woman brutally murdered just hours before her wedding. As Gladys stood in her living room dressed in her beautiful wedding gown, she poses for the videographer to catch her handing her bridesmaids their bouquets before heading to the church. To everyone’s horror, Gladys’ abusive ex-boyfriend burst into her living room and shot and killed her. Gladys’ wedding dress, the emblem of happiness and everlasting love, has become a symbol of Domestic Violence. We march in wedding dresses to pay tribute to everyone who has died as a result of Domestic Violence. All fees and donations will go to Liz's Daughter in its efforts to eliminate domestic violence & teen dating violence and improve relations between Law Enforcement and the Community and as well as other domestic violence organizations that share the same vision Women are encouraged to wear white wedding dresses or all white. Men are encouraged to wear tuxedos or all black.
