Triathletes spend substantial time and money on cleaning and taking care of their bikes, running shoes, and swim gear. However, the most important equipment we should pay attention to is our bodies. Discover where you need to be tuned up in this eye-opening workshop. The Triathlete Tune Up workshop will reveal some musculoskeletal deficits that, if left neglected, will predictably result in injury and reduced performance in triathlon.

This workshop is one of many being offered at the Multisport World Conference and Expo at Georgetown Prep's Hanley Center for Athletic Excellence in North Bethesda, MD.

Additional Information

Overview

In this workshop led by Kerri Kramer of Fast Track Physical Therapy, you will be taken through 9 tests of flexibility, strength and range of motion related swimming, biking and running. These tests are designed to help you identify personal areas to focus on that, if left neglected, will predictably result in injury and reduced performance in triathlon.

What you will learn

Blending engaging presentation and hands-on demonstration, you will learn (1) your personal areas of weaknesses, inflexibility, and range of motion limitations; (2) how these deficits can affect your performance in the swim, on the bike and on the run; and (3) Specific exercise that will enable you to correct each deficit

She is currently pursuing her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) and Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) from the University of St. Augustine.
