Join us for the Atlanta Childrens Shelter's Annual 5k Run/Walk but this year with a new twist! The race will be at dark (8:30 pm) and will feature glow in the dark tshirts, luminaries lighting the path, and fun party favors. There will also be an afterparty hosted by the Linus Foundation nearby with details coming soon.
Plenty of food and fluids! >p
Registration/packet pickup kicks off at 7:00p.m. at the double-decker near the main pavilion....run/walk begins promptly at 8:30p.m.
Runners and walkers are encouraged to form corporate teams, church and community group teams, and encourage your social network to support the cause as well.
For those who want support the cause but cannot be at the event, there is a "please don't make me sweat, mail me my shirt" Phantom option.
Additionally, this event will be our kick-off celebration for our Week of WOW Grand Re-opening ceremonies. We are in the process of completing a renovation and expansion of the shelter, so please come and celebrate with us at the Starlight Stride to support this exciting opportunity for homeless families and children in metro Atlanta.
