Sappony 5K Trail Run

Welcome to the Sappony 5K Trail Run/Walk & 1-Mile Fun/Walk at Mayo Lake. What better way to celebrate healthy living than to spend an active morning with your family and friends at Mayo Lake running through 3.1 miles of beautiful trails? Even better… all proceeds from the trail run benefit the Sappony Indian Heritage Program

Course

The course will start and finish at the Educational Building in the Park and will be run on trails.

Starting Times

The mile will start at 8:30, and the 5K will begin at 9 am.

Entry Fees

The entry fee for the 5K is $25 if received by June 3. After that date the fee is $30 up to and including race day. The entry fees for the mile are $10 and $15, respectively. The 5K entry fee includes a t-shirt, guaranteed to all those registered by June 3.

Awards

In the 5K, awards will be given to the first male finisher overall, the first female finisher overall, the first master finishers of each sex, and to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups: (both sexes) 9-under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-over. In the mile, all finishers ages 12 and under will receive a medal.

Late Registration/Packet Pickup

Late entrants can register and pre-registered runners can pick up their packets at the race site on race day morning beginning at 7 am.

Sappony Heritage Program

The Sappony Heritage Program is a non-profit organization whose mission is to teach youth about their heritage and traditions while promoting healthy lifestyles and the importance of giving back to the community.
