Ocean Breeze Marathon, Half and Ultra

Come join us for the Ocean Breeze races!!! We are starting earlier to beat the summer heat. These are great low key, high quality events hosted by the awesome Rocket Racing Productions. REGISTRATION AVAILABLE RACE DAY

This is a low key, relaxd, funfilled atmosphere type of event. All the participants will have their results posted with their names and times. And FREE pictures for everyone posted on our facebook page after the event! Pacers and crew are welcome at any time. There are numerous restrooms and water fountains along the course. Course map: The 50k will do this loop on the Long Beach Beach Path 3 times, http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5157143 The marathon is 2 and a half loops and the half marathon is half of the marathon course. Aid stations will be at 3 and 7 mile increments throughout the race. We will have the usual buffet of food for competitors ranging from oranges, bananas, GU Gels, water, gatorade, cookies, etc. And anything else participants request. Misc info. Time Limits- None No DNF's here: A person, at anytime, can drop down from the 50 mi to the 50k, etc.. If a person does not complete a 50k, marathon or any other distance, then we WILL make a distance that the person completed in increments of common standard distances: 5k, 10k, 10mi, half marathon, marathon, etc. Check in and bib pick up starts at 5:50am until the start of the race at 6:30am on race day. Everyone gets a medal. Send us an email letting us know what you would like at the Aid Stations, we will try and personalize the food as much as possible. This is YOUR race and we want to make it as special as possible. FYI Also to save money, you can just mail the fee along with all your info, email: rracing@rocketmail.com for more info. We are also accepting credit cards for a small fee of 50 cents for every 15 dollars. So if yor doing the 50k for $45 then it would be $46.50. RACE DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE The cheapest way is just mail us your entry fee, the second cheapest is credit card, the third is registering here on active. OCEAN BREEZE PRE RACE EMAIL Hello Ocean Breeze Racers! The race is almost upon us! Here is some info. to help race day go smoothly. PARKING Parking can be found anywhere near the start in the side streets 5101 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803-3303 Ocean Blvd and Grenada Beach Path Or if one cannot find any parking there should be ample spots available going further down Ocean Blvd to just past 54th st. 5412 ocean blvd long beach ca 90803, to get to the start from there jump on the beach path at 54th and Ocean and its about a half mile walk to the start. One can also park in the metered parking, it begins to be enforced at 8am but they dont enforce it usually until 10am or so. WAVES STARTS: Due to the overwhelming response of the race we have to break up the race into two start times. The first start wave is the original starting time of 630am (check in from 545 to 630am) everybody with the last name A thru K will start at 630, as well as ALL the marathoners and 50kers. WAVE 2 will be everyone with last names from L thru Z and ALL 10milers. AID STATIONS will be at the start and at 7mi and 3mi increments. For the marathon aid station will be at mile 7 then mile 10 then mile 17 then mile 20 then mile 23 then at the finish. For the half marathoners it will be at mile 7 then 10 then finish. For the 10 milers it will be at mile 7 and at the finish. For the 50kers it will be the same for the marathoners up to mile 20 then at mile 27 then 30 then the finish at mile 31 (short out and back mile). COURSE is 80% on the beach path and very easy to follow, everything will be marked. First everyone will do a 7mi out and back going north then a 3 mi out and back going south and so on until one reaches the race distance. We will go over the course again right before the start. PHOTOS and RESULTS Photos will be available for free to download after the race.
