This race is one in a series of 3 throughout the year, yet you can run 1, 2, or all of them! Other races include: April 7 - Timp Shadow 5k June 30 - Battle @ Big Springs 8k This is an off-road/trail/mostly singletrack/barely any pavement course. There are both intense up & downhills, rocky terrain, and beautiful views. Once one gets on any of the Cascadia courses, they fall in love with trail running. So get off the pavement & come join the fun up in nature!
Please see www.cascadiatrailseries.com for any additional info, maps of the course, directions to the race, etc. Divisions for each gender are as follows unless the amount of runners calls for more breakdown: Top 3 Overall, 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Above. Awards in each gender are as follows: 1st Overall: an infamous "Cascadia Rock Award" & a pair of Brooks Cascadia trail shoes. 2nd Overall: an infamous "Cascadia Rock Award" & a $20 gift certificate to the local specialty running store, Runner's Corner. 3rd Overall: an infamous "Cascadia Rock Award" & a pair of Smartwool trail running socks. Ribbons are awarded to the top 3 in each division. There is a raffle for many prizes & gift certificates mostly for trail or running related products or local vendors. Running specialty brands sponsored in the drawing are Nathan Sports water packs, & two pairs of Brooks Cascadia trail shoes.
