Camp Escape 6- Pirate Nation Week

Camp Escape is designed for indiviuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Each camp is a one week session and is based on a weekly theme. Go to www.grpd.info for more info on Camp Escape. Daily schedules will be posted online at www.grpd.info beginning in May.

Campers will go swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will take part in water activities on other days as well. Campers will need a swim suit and a towel on those days.

Program Goals & Objectives: The Greenville Recreation and Parks Camp Escape primary purpose will be to provide safe and fun recreational activities for individuals with disabilities ages 5-18. This will be done by focusing on four primary goals each day at camp:

1. To assist each camper in reaching their highest potential during activities. 2. To improve campers awareness of recreation, education and community resources. 3. To integrate the campers into the community. 4. To provide a safe, healthy environment for the children and the staff.

Transportation: Children are transported to activities on buses. We will provide transportation on activity buses by qualified CDL drivers each day.

Lunch: Campers will participate in the free lunch program. If your child has dietary needs please bring their lunch. Camp Escape will supply drinks daily.

Medication Policy: If your child has to take medication during the course of the camp day, please be sure that the proper forms are filled out and returned to the camp supervisor on the first day of camp. These forms are available at registration and at our Jaycee Park Administrative offices (2000 Cedar Lane, Greenville, NC 27835).
