This is the most scenic run/swim in Oconee County. The run will take you through the working orchards and berry farm of Chattooga Belle Farm. Stellar views of the NC, SC, and GA mountains are visible the entire way.The entire race will be cross country (off pavement-primarily grass). The ~100yd swim will take place on Horseshoe Lake after having run across a troll bridge of upside down rafts.The youth will run across the rafts and then swim back (PFD provided if requested).
We will have banjo music playing during the event-"I hear banjo music-RUN FASTER!" Bib numbers will be written on your body in case you do not want to wear your shirt for the race/swim. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in the different age categories. All kids will receive a finisher's medal. Drawings for additional prizes will include free raft trips on the Chattooga River, Canopy Tours, etc... Participants will receive a coupon for $10 off their entrance to the Music Festival, held at the same location, same day.
