America's 4th oldest foot race. Sponsored by F. Lofrano & Sons and Hotel San Remo. Out and back 5 mile course starts at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club, 1630 Stockton St., SF, CA. 5 mile course runs North from SFIAC Club Headquarters on Stockton St. to North Point to Herb Caen Way along the waterfront to Bryant St and back. Two mile fun walk. Proceeds to benefit Standup to Cancer (www.standup2cancer.org). Race/Walk rain or shine, no refunds.
Mostly flat, beginning and finishing on a slight hill. Includes commemorative 93rd annual event T-shirt to all entrants. For the 5 mile race, trophy to the overall first male and female runner. Trophy to first SFIAC member. Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place men and women starting at age 10 and under, 11 - 19 and every 10 year age category up to 70+. Post race prize drawings for all entrants in both the 5 mile run and 2 mile fun walk. Must be present to win. Race Day Registration starts at 7:45am at the SFIAC. www.sfiac.org
