Run-to-the-Top is a rugged mountain run, reportedly one of the most difficult trail races in Calif. The course is approx 7 mi. beginning at 6,000', finishing at 10,064'. First 1/4 mi. is paved roadway, next 5 mi. uphill dirt fire road, then 1 mi. narrow catwalk along mountainside; and final steepest mile ends at summit. Aid stations every 2 mi. Race/timing end 11 AM. While ER services and other assistance are available, PARTICIPANTS BEAR THE ULTIMATE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY AND RISK.
Preregistration must be received by August 8 to be guaranteed a shirt. Effective Aug 9 limited cotton tees will be available to 1st 50 registered runners, med and lrg only.
NEW THIS YEAR, we are the 2nd leg of the 2012 Race Ready Trail Series. The series does not replace the annual RTTT but is an option for runners looking for an additional challenge. Free parking provided by San Antonio Canyon Town Hall. INFORMATION ABOUT THE COST OF CHAIR LIFT RIDE from the Notch back to parking lot available at www.run2top.com. Chair Lift Tickets (back down to parking lot)
MBR2T is a unique mountain run in that the finish is several miles above the start line. Chair lift tickets for a return ride from the notch to the parking lot are available through the ski lifts, or you may prefer to walk back down following the race (approx 3.5 mi) while enjoying the scenery and camaraderie.
