Join the Atlanta Police Foundation (APF) for the 2012 Atlanta’s Finest 5K run/walk organized by the Atlanta Track Club. Proceeds from the event benefit Crime Stoppers Atlanta, a program of the (APF) that provides cash incentives for anonymous information that helps law enforcement solve crimes. Along with the 5K, the event also includes a 1K for kids ages 7-12 as well as a 100m dash for kids 6 and under. Participants can also check out squad cars, motorcycles and the Mobile Command Unit.
Race Day Information:
There is no race day registration. Number pick-up will be available race morning beginning at 6:00 a.m.
For the safety of all, no pets, headphones, and rollerblades/skates are allowed on the course.
Awards:
All 5k finishers will receive a short-sleeve performance shirt. Overall awards will be presented to the men's and women's overall and masters winners. Awards will also be given out to the top three men and women in each age group.
The overall top male and female police finisher will be presented a special award.
All finishers of the Gumshoe Gallop and Gumshoe Dash will receive a finisher's ribbon and T-shirt.
What is the Atlanta Police Foundation?
The Atlanta Police Foundation (APF) is a 501(c)3 organization that was established in 2003 with the goal of making Atlanta the safest large city in America. To achieve this goal, the APF partners public and private resources to create unique public safety initiatives. The APF also provides essential programs to support the Atlanta Police Department to help build a well-rounded and world-class police force.

Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta is a community based, nonprofit program serving all metro area law enforcement agencies and communities. Through an anonymous tip line, secure online tool, text messaging system and iPhone and Android applications, Crime Stoppers provides an avenue for citizens to anonymously report information about crimes and incentivizes them with rewards of up to $2,000 if the information leads to an arrest and indictment.
