General Information
The R.U.F.F. Ride is a charity ride organized/hosted by Redlands Unleashed Fidos & Friends (R.U.F.F.) to raise money to build & maintain Redlands Dog Park. It is the public fun ride held in conjunction with the Redlands Bicycle Classic. Please join us for this great event and enjoy post-ride activities associated with the professional stage race portion of the Redlands Bicycle Classic.
Who is R.U.F.F.?
Redlands Unleashed Fidos & Friends (R.U.F.F.) is the volunteer group that built & helps maintain the Redlands Dog Park. R.U.F.F. also supports a variety of local animal related organizations.
5 or 10 miles
Great for families and recreational cyclists! This easy course meanders through the historic tree-lined streets of Redlands and takes you past the site of the Redlands Dog Park.
31 Miles / Half Metric Century
Ideal for cycling enthusiasts! This moderate course rolls along the historic tree-lined streets and hills of Redlands & past the site of the Redlands Dog Park. It also travels through the orange groves and along the beautiful foothills.
62 Mile / Metric Century
This course includes many of the same roads that have challenged professional cyclists and Olympic hopefuls. In addition to rolling along the historic streets of Redlands, this route will include some moderate climbs. Atop the climbs are incredible views of the canyons and surrounding snow-capped mountains. This course also travels past the site of the Redlands Dog Park, through the orange groves and along the beautiful foothills.
Directions (from Los Angeles/San Diego)
From the eastbound 10 FWY, exit Eureka Street/Downtown Redlands, turn right onto Eureka Street, follow Eureka south to Citrus/Brookside and look for RUFF Ride Parking signage.
Directions (from Palm Springs/Arizona)
From the westbound 10 FWY, exit 6th Street, turn left onto 6th, take first right onto Pearl, follow Pearl to Eureka, turn left onto Eureka, follow Eureka south to Citrus/Brookside and look for RUFF Ride Parking signage.
Support & Wag Stops (aka: SAG stops)
The course will be marked at each turn. Multiple rest stops will be set up along each route with water, sports drinks, and refreshments.
Safety and Rules
The use of ANSI or SNELL approved helmets is required. The R.U.F.F. Ride is not a race. Slower riders must stay to the right, faster riders must make their presence known when passing. All bicycles should be checked by an experienced bicycle mechanic or your favorite bike shop (especially brakes and tires). All roads will be open to regular traffic and cyclists are responsible for obeying all traffic laws.
