The Fun Run will run to the elementary school and back. 5K route is a lagniappe. Win & Out means if you win a lap, you win CASH!!!
Age Groups: >15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61+ Win & Out comes directly from Criterium Style Bicycle Racing. You simply Win a lap, step out of the race and receive an envelope of cash. The fee is $10 cash collected the day of the race. Gravlee Fitness will match so if 20 sign up the prize purse goes to $400 and if 50 then the winnings go to $1,000!!! The Win & Out will run around the block- literally a 1/10 of a mile. Everyone races together. There are not categories. If 20 race then we will pay the winners of 5-7 laps. Thing is the actual race won't start until the first few laps are made. Then, I'll ring a bell, grab a microphone and let everyone know that we will now start going to laps and how many laps you are doing. It is a chess match because if you try to win a lap and don't, you probably wont have the energy to go for the win on the next lap. So, you have to decide when keep the pace and when to sprint to the finish. It is very exciting and very spectator friendly so make sure you tell friends and family to yell for you. Lap Winners Win Cash!!!! More that sign up the larger the prize purse so get your friends to compete with you.
